Watts 0121231 (LF150A-HA) is an assembly consisting of a 0121227 Water Hammer Arrestor and a 0121229 Brass Hose Thread Adapter.
The arrestors' air chamber is pre-charged and easily rechargeable. Made of stainless steel material featuring an air-tight sealing cap, sealed-in flexible diaphragm, standard tire valve connection for easy charging, and 1/2" thread for hose adapter connection. The brass hose adapter has a 1/2" inlet and 3/4" hose thread for direct connection of the arrestor to appliances.
The Watts LF150A-HA Lead-Free Water Hammer Arrestor Assembly controls water pressure by absorbing the shock caused by high water pressure. The arrestors' diaphragm will flex when there is an increase or drop of pressure and returns to a normal state after the shock. Increased pressure usually happens when valves quickly shut off and sudden on/off of the valve will cause water hammering that can damage your pipe lines or appliances.
This is an ideal fixture to install in preventing water hammer on your dishwasher, washing machine, and quick-closing faucets. Also, it can be easily installed at any angle to your pipe system.
