DUNGS 221073  is a Valve Proving System for DMV series safety valves. This model has an alternate part number of VPS 504 S06. It checks both safety shutoff valves in a DMV series gas train if fully closed before either a system startup and/or after system shutdown when wired and interlocked to a suitable flame safeguard control. The VPS 504 S0 halts the startup sequence to a piece of gas burning equipment if it detects an open safety shutoff valve, thus preventing ignition under undesirable conditions.

The VPS 504 S06 is recommended for industrial and commercial heating applications. Some authorities having jurisdiction accept the VPS 504 S06 in lieu of “proof of closure” when integrated with the pre-ignition system and/or in lieu of a vent valve when it checks the valves at startup and shut down. The VPS 504 S06 is suitable for natural gas, propane, air, and other inert gases. Not suitable for butane gas.
